How Ghostlight handles the information you give us.
What we collect
If you have an account, we store your name, email address, and your roles and assignments within the organizations you belong to. If you write to a theater through its contact form, we store the name, email address, and message you provide, along with a one-way hashed form of your IP address.
Why we collect it
Account information runs the service: scheduling, casting, call lists, and messaging. Contact-form details exist so the theater can reply to you. The hashed IP address exists only to limit automated spam through the form — we never store the address itself.
Who can see it
A contact message is visible only to the people at that theater who handle its inbox — its owners and administrators, plus any additional roles that theater has designated. It is not shared with other organizations on Ghostlight, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
How long we keep it
Hashed IP addresses are deleted after 30 days. Contact messages are currently kept indefinitely so a theater has a record of who reached out. Account information is kept while your account exists.
Cookies
Ghostlight sets one cookie: the session cookie that keeps you signed in. It is strictly necessary for the service to work, so there is nothing to opt out of. We use no analytics, no advertising pixels, and no third-party trackers. Your light/dark theme preference is stored in your own browser and never sent to us.
Getting your data removed
Write to hello@ghostlighthq.com and tell us what you would like deleted. If you contacted a theater directly, that theater can also delete your message itself.
