iPhone or iPad
Add Ghostlight to your Home Screen so it opens like an app — and so it can send you notifications.
Add it to your Home Screen
- Open Safari and go to ghostlighthq.com. Use Safari, not another browser.
- Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up).
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add.
Don’t tap the link in the email. It opens Safari, which signs in Safari — and the Home Screen app stays signed out. Type the code into the app instead.
Sign in from the new icon
- Close Safari and open Ghostlight from the new icon on your Home Screen.
- Enter your email and tap Send magic link.
- Open the email from Ghostlight and find the sign-in code.
- Go back to the Ghostlight app, type the code, and tap Sign in with code.
Turn on notifications
- In the Ghostlight app, open your account menu and go to Account.
- Open the Notifications tab. Next to Push notifications on this device, tap Turn on.
- When your iPhone asks, tap Allow.
Why the Home Screen?
On iPhone and iPad, notifications only work from the Home Screen app, not from a Safari tab.
Signing in with Google inside the Home Screen app may send you to Safari instead. If that happens, sign in with the email code above.
